Man Arrested at Wal-Mart

LIBERTY, May 21, 2014 - On May 18, 2014 at 3:50 PM the City of Liberty Police Department received a call concerning a theft at Wal-Mart. An employee at the store saw Christoper Leonard walking towards an exit with unpaid for merchandise. The employee stood by the door and Mr. Leonard walked in the other direction.

The employee notified a manager who then observed Leonard exit a different door where he was confronted by Loss Prevention.

Leonard had no form of payment on his person.

Leonard exited the store with $120.22 worth of merchandise consisting of four boxes of shotgun ammunition and two boxes of clay targets.

Leonard was taken into custody, charged with Organized Retail Theft and transported to the Liberty County Jail.
