Motel Theft was Inside Job


LIBERTY, January 22, 2014 – Liberty Police were called to the Inn at Liberty Motel on January 13, 2014 at 4:52 PM for a theft in a one of the motel’s rooms.

Upon arrival police learned that a guest was missing a Playstation III from this room. The room had been left secured and the guest noticed that new towels had been placed in the room while he was at work.

One of the housekeeping employees at the motel, Terry Powell, Jr. age 34 was found to have pawned the Playstation III and was arrested for Theft with a previous conviction. Powell has en extensive criminal history in Liberty County.
