HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

LIBERTY, March 10, 2014 – TODAY AND TONIGHT AREAS OF DENSE FOG HAVE DEVELOPED THIS MORNING THAT MAY IMPACT AREA HIGHWAYS ESPECIALLY HIGHWAY 59 NORTH OF CLEVELAND AND AREAS OF INTERSTATE 45 NEAR HUNTSVILLE. DENSE FOG SHOULD COME TO AN END LATER THIS MORNING.

TONIGHT A STRONG UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE IS EXPECTED TO MOVE ACROSS SOUTH AND SOUTHEAST TEXAS. THIS SYSTEM MAY SUPPORT BRIEF HEAVY RAINFALL WITH GULF MOISTURE INCREASING ALONG THE COAST. THE BEST CHANCES FOR LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL WILL BE MAINLY SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 10 ALONG THE COAST LATE THIS EVENING AND TONIGHT. RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 0.5-1 INCH WILL BE POSSIBLE. HIGHER RAINFALL AMOUNTS ARE EXPECTED IN THE GULF OF MEXICO. RAIN CHANCES SHOULD COME TO AN END ON TUESDAY AS THE SYSTEM MOVES EAST.
