Private Applicator Training
LIBERTY, April 4, 2014 - The Liberty County Office of The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service will hold a Private Applicator Training on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 beginning at 8:30 a.m. at the Extension Office at 501 Palmer Ave. in Liberty. The training will be offered for those wanting to obtain a license to purchase pesticides that are restricted by the Texas Department of Agriculture. Each year many farmers obtain this license so they can spray for weeds and pests in their fields. Each participant will learn the proper procedures to apply pesticides, calibrate sprayers, and learn the regulations to safely apply those pesticides. THIS IS JUST THE TRAINING. Testing is done each week at locations in Houston. TDA does not test in Liberty County.
Space is limited to the first 30 callers. Cost for the training is $55.00, which pays for all educational materials. If you or anyone you know would be interested in attending, please RSVP to the Extension Office no later than 5:00 p.m. on Monday, May 5, 2014 by calling 936-334-3230.
Individuals with disabilities who require an auxiliary aid, service or accommodations in order to participate in this event are encouraged to contact the Liberty County Office of the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, by calling 936-334-3230, at least five days prior to the event in order to prepare the auxiliary aid or service that you will require.
