Liberty Police Investigate Theft at Wal-Mart

LIBERTY, March 26, 2014 - On Friday, March 21, 2014, the City of Liberty Police Department was called to Wal-Mart to investigate an accused shoplifter that had been detained by asset protection at the store shortly before 8:00 PM.

According to Detective Jennifer Bowles, Marcos Anastacio Galvan age 44 had gone through the store placing items in shopping bags he had taken from the front of the store.

Taken from the store was beer, a keyboard, misc. food items totaling $209.00 dollars.

Galvan was detained after passing all points of sale without paying for the items and exited the store.

Galvan was taken into custody, charged with Organized Retail Theft and transported to the Liberty County Jail.

Galvan’s bond was set at $3,500 dollars.
