Tennessee Man Arrested for Money Laundering

CLEVELAND, November 19, 2014 - On November 7, 2014 at 1:50 PM, The Liberty County Drug Interdiction Group was busy profiling vehicles traveling southbound on US 59 just south of the San Jacinto County line when they spotted a 2006 Toyota 4-Runner with Tennessee license plates.

But, according to the report, they observed the vehicle make several traffic violations and stopped the vehicle.

Inside the vehicle was Otto Flachbart, Jr. and Otto Flachbart III who claimed they were on a hog hunting trip in Texas.

Interviewing them separately their stories did not match up.

Found in the Toyota 4-Runner was an after market concealed compartment under the back floorboard of the vehicle.

Inside the compartment was $109,000 dollars.

Otto Joseph Flachbart III age 37 was arrested for Money Laundering and transported to the Liberty County Jail.

Bond was set by Justice of the Peace Parrish at $25,000. Flachbart remains in the Liberty County Jail.
