Drugs Found in Vehicle on US 59
CLEVELAND, September 5, 2014 - Around 11:20 AM on September 2, 2014 the Liberty County Sheriff’s Department initiated a traffic stop on in the northbound lanes of US 59 at the Highway 105 bypass on a 2005 Nissan Altima occupied by three individuals.
The car was heading northbound out of the Houston area.
The Deputy noticed a marijuana pipe in the vehicle and asked the occupants to get out. He obtained consent to search the vehicle and found in the trunk were three bricks of a substance thought to be cocaine totaling 5300 grams in weight. $5,000 dollars cash was also recovered from the vehicle and the approximately street value of the drugs is $125,000 dollars.
Arrested at the scene were Sandra Epnett age 37, Dennisse Dulanto age 31 and Angelica Escobedo age 21 all of Memphis, TN.
All were charged with Manufacture and Delivery of a Controlled Substance and bond was set at $250,000 on each of the occupants of the vehicle by Justice of the Peace Hebert.
