Drug Take Back Day

LIBERTY, May 1, 2014 - On Saturday, April 26th, Liberty Police Department, in conjunction with DEA, hosted a Drug Take Back Day.  As a result, we collected almost 50 pounds of unused, expired or unwanted prescription drugs and one container of sharp objects. 

The prescription drugs were collected in 2 boxes about the size of large trash cans.  The proper disposal of all these drugs will help protect the environment and play a huge role in preventing prescription drug abuse.  Liberty Police Department would like to thank the DEA for their participation and all those citizens that dropped off those drugs. two counts of Organized Retail Theft and transported to the Liberty County Jail.
