C.O.L.T.S. Preschool Academy
LIBERTY, April 3, 2014 - The C.O.L.T.S. Preschool Academy (Children Offering Language Tools to Students), is a specialized, tuition based program in Dayton ISD, designed for typically developing children, who will be 3 or 4 years of age prior to September 1, 2014. The program is housed on the Colbert Pre-K campus. Children selected to participate in the COLTS Preschool Academy will be placed with special needs students to facilitate and model age-appropriate language skills.
Enrollment applications are now being accepted for the 2014-15 school year. Enrollment will be open exclusively to district employees through April 11, 2014. On April 14, 2014, if all of the slots are not filled by district employees, we will open enrollment to the public. This means that non-employee children within Dayton ISD boundaries will be eligible to apply / participate in the COLTS Preschool Academy.
You will find a link to the COLTS Preschool Academy Handbook/Application on the District homepage, as well as the Colbert campus homepage. Classroom slots go fast, so get your application turned in ASAP!!!!
Please ensure that the Application and Program Agreement forms, located at the back of the Handbook, are completed and turned in to the Colbert Elementary campus as soon as possible. The date and time in which applications are received will be documented and considered in the selection process should any conflicts arise.
