Jumpstart to Business Success
LIBERTY, June 10, 2014 - Are you interested in starting or expanding your business, but not exactly sure where to start? Do you have a lot of ideas in your head and are not sure how to put them all on paper?
The Landowners Association of Texas in partnership with 100 Ranchers, Prairie View A & M Cooperative Extension and Texas A & M AgriLife Extension will be conducting a workshop on business planning on Friday June 13 at 10 a.m. The workshop will be held at Liberty Elementary School (1002 Bowie Liberty, TX 77575). As a result of this workshop you will be able to meet with representatives from the United States Department of Agriculture and Farm Service Agency as the provide a hands on approach to developing your business and your land.
Guest speakers include Prairie View A & M Cooperative Extension Program Community and Economic Development Agent, Winnefred Jackson. Ms. Jackson will go over how to prepare a business plan. “Having a business plan is very important. It provides you with an outline to see where you want your business to go, what routes you can take to get there, and a reference guide to check your progress, “ said Winnefred Jackson.
A successful business plan will provide yourself as well as financial institutions and business heirs an opportunity to see where you would your business to go and how you can work together to get it there. If you are a landowner, farmer or rancher and would like to learn more about business planning then this workshop is for you.
