New I-69 Signs along 28 miles in Harris and Fort Bend Counties

HOUSTON, April 10, 2013 - If you travel along U.S. 59 in the Greater Houston area, keep an eye out for the segments of the highway that are now officially designated as Interstate 69. Texas Department of Transportation's Houston District crews are installing the signs that co-designate another 28 miles of U.S. 59 (from I-610 West to Rosenberg) as a part of this vital interstate. Ultimately, I-69 will ultimately become a 1,600-mile-long highway stretching from Michigan to Texas.
