Couple Arrested on Drug Charges

LIBERTY, September 30, 2013 - Officer Frank Longoria of the City of Liberty Police Department noticed a pickup truck on Milam Street that failed to signal a turn onto Grand in the required distance around 2:00 AM on Sunday.

After short investigation officers determined that both occupants of the vehicle were in possession of narcotics believed to be Crystal Meth and Marijuana

Also located in the vehicle was scales, a stun gun, and other drug paraphernalia.  Total weight was 5.3 grams of meth and 8 grams of marijuana. 

The estimated street value is approx. $550.

Arrested and charged were Brian Goins age 33 of Mont Belvieu, and Shonda Tullous age 26 of Hardin.

Both Tullous and Goins were taken into custody, charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and transported to the Liberty County Jail.
