Better Living for Texans
LIBERTY, October 23, 2013 - Would you benefit from nutrition related information? The BETTER LIVING FOR TEXANS Program, part of Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service provides lessons for limited resources audiences all free of charge. Our topics cover basic nutrition, food safety, food budgets, benefit of eating breakfast, snacking, healthy plates and many more topics. Food demonstrations are include with most lessons.
Our lessons are taught in a series. The series we currently provide are:
Don’t Get Bugged with Foodborne Illnesses. All the information contained in our lessons, activities, handouts come from research based studies. The next opportunities for the 5 Food Groups (MyPlate) presentation is at Liberty Immaculate Conception Center on November 7, 2013 and December 5, 2013 beginning at 9AM. In Dayton, the next opportunity for the Back to Basics series will held at Dayton First Liberty National Bank on November 12, 2013 and December 10, 2013 at 9AM. Presentations are also available in Cleveland at the First Baptist Church on November 6, 2013 at 12PM (noon).
