Poverty in America

LIBERTY, July 31, 2013 - In a recently published Census Bureau report of poverty in America the bureau identifies which states have the greatest number of people living in poverty once the off-campus college students in college towns are removed from inclusion in the statistics.

Poverty in America is greatly concentrated in the slave states of the south including Texas as it has been since 1865. And, of course, since these states represent the largest populations of people per capita in poverty they are the largest beneficiaries of Federal Welfare programs to the effected states.
