Police Arrest Man Exposing Himself at the Chevron
LIBERTY, December 30, 2013 - According to Liberty Police who were responding to a disturbance call at the Exxon Convenience Store on US 90 at FM 563, Tyree Patterson age 23 of Liberty walked into the store and struck the door attracting the owner’s attention. When the owner attempted to see what was going on Patterson pushed the owner to the ground.
Patterson then left the Exxon and in the process lost his pants exposing himself.
Officers arrived to find Patterson fighting with a couple of people in the bushes.
Patterson walked into the roadway and approached responding Officers in an aggressive matter and closed the door of the patrol car on Officer Aguilar striking him in the face.
Patterson then walked onto FM 563 and began striking a window of a vehicle in the roadway. As Patterson walked back to the Chevron parking lot he grabbed a squeegee and threw it to the ground then proceeded to walk toward US 90.
An Officer ordered Patterson to get onto the ground and he did not comply. Then the Officer deployed his taser bringing Patterson down.
EMS was called to transport Patterson to the Hospital and upon release was transported to the Liberty County Jail charged with Assault of a Public Servant and three counts of Criminal Mischief.
Paterson has an extensive arrest record in Liberty County including arrests for the following offenses.
