Afternoon Shoplifter Arrested at Wal-Mart

LIBERTY, August 6, 2013 - Monday afternoon around 3:00 PM the City of Liberty Police Department was summoned to Wal-Mart in Liberty for an alleged shoplifter that had been detained by store employees.

Upon investigation Police tell i-dineout.com that Sharon Parnell age 43 of Channelview passed the point of sale and exited the store with clothing, shoes and groceries without paying for them. The value of the merchandise was approximately $230.00.

Investigation further revealed that Parnell has a history of the behavior with prior convictions for the same offense.

Sharon Parnell was taken into custody by Liberty Police charged with Theft of Property with Two or more Previous Convictions and transported to the Liberty County Jail.

This was the second time within hours that Liberty Police arrested an alleged shoplifter at Wal-Mart within hours on Monday.
