HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

LIBERTY, January 8, 2013 - WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY WIDESPREAD RAIN AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE ON WEDNESDAY. THERE IS A SLIGHT RISK FOR SEVERE STORMS GENERATING DAMAGING WINDS OR ISOLATED TORNADOES...ESPECIALLY ALONG AND AHEAD OF A COLD FRONT THAT WILL MOVE THROUGH THE AREA. THE RAINFALL IS EXPECTED TO END WEDNESDAY EVENING IN THE WAKE OF THE FRONT. TOTAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS FOR THE TWO-DAY EVENT IS EXPECTED TO AVERAGE 2 TO 4 INCHES WITH ISOLATED TOTALS OF 5 TO 7 INCHES POSSIBLE.

THE NEXT CHANCE FOR RAIN AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE OVER THE WEEKEND AHEAD OF ANOTHER COLD FRONT. THIS FRONT IS EXPECTED END THE THUNDERSTORM THREAT AS IT PUSHES THROUGH THE AREA ON SATURDAY...HOWEVER THE RAIN MAY PERSIST THROUGH MONDAY. AT THIS TIME NO HAZARDOUS WEATHER IS EXPECTED FROM THIS SYSTEM.
