Attention Butterfly Enthusiasts

LIBERTY, October 22, 2013 - Butterfly Enthusiasts of Southeast Texas and the Trinity River National Wildlife Refuge will be hosting the 15th Annual Trinity River Butterfly Count in northern Liberty County on Saturday, October 26, 2013.

Areas to be counted include the Trinity River National Wildlife Refuge, Tarkington Prairie, and Gaylor Lake area. We will meet at 9:00 am at the Valero Gas station located at the intersection of Hwy 105 and Hwy 321, six miles south of Cleveland.

Some folks will butterfly the "bottoms" so be sure to bring a sack lunch, rubber knee boots and other appropriate outdoor clothing. Butterfly enthusiasts of all levels are welcome. If you have any questions you can contact Stuart Marcus at 936/336-9786 or <stuart_marcus@fws.gov>
