Liberty PD Arrests Burglary Suspects

LIBERTY, March 12, 2013 - On Monday, March 11th, Liberty Police arrested two subjects related to a morning time burglary.

Shortly after 10:30 a.m. Liberty Police were summoned to investigate a burglary in the 2000 block of Magnolia.  Police received information from citizens who were very observant of the suspicious activity.

At approx. 12:30 p.m. Liberty Police located and stopped the suspect vehicle in the 1200 block of Lakeland Dr..  After a short investigation, identification of suspects, and recovery of all property Police detained two subjects while Probable Cause Affidavits were being prepared.

Christopher Sharmain Loften

City of Liberty Municipal Judge Mike Little issued warrants for Burglary of Habitation for Jane Rae Hemmick age 53, and Christopher Sharmain Loften age 32, both of Liberty.  Both subjects were arrested and transported to Liberty County Jail.

Liberty Police once again thank citizens for being observant of suspicious activity and making notes of what they see.
