Armed Robbery Suspects Apprehended in Liberty

LIBERTY, March 26, 2013 – Sunday night while on patrol Officer Frank Longoria observed a Ford Mustang with a headlight out and followed the vehicle to Miller’s Texaco on US 90 at Crockett Street.

The license plate number revealed that the vehicle and it’s occupants were wanted suspects in several armed robberies.

Calling for backup, Officer Longoria was joined at the Texaco by Officer Chance Maddox and several units of the Liberty County Sheriff’s Department.

Officer Longoria approached the male driver of the vehicle identified as Daindre Garlington age 31 of Beaumont.

The female occupant of the vehicle fled on foot around the west end of the building and disappeared into the dark night.

Officer Maddox pursued the woman and discovered hear on top of the metal roof of a small shed where she had climbed on top of to hide.

The female was identified at Amber LeBlanc age 30 of Beaumont.

Leblanc was taken into custody and charged with Fleeing or Evading Arrest or Detention and Garlington was arrested for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Both were transported to the Liberty County Jail.
