Kingwood Man Arrestred for Child Pornography
LIBERTY, January 11, 2013 - Friday morning around 6 a.m., members of the Precinct 4 Constable’s Office, assisted by members of the Precinct 3 Constable’s Office and the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office executed a search warrant that resulted in the arrest of a Kingwood man on multiple child pornography charges.
When investigators arrived at the suspect’s residence, in the Mallard Creek complex located at 23423 US 59, suspect Jason Roberts was at work, where he is a warehouse dispatcher. They continued to investigate and Pct. 4 Captain Mark Seals made contact with Roberts by phone, who agreed to return home. After doing so, Roberts made a full confession, admitting to downloading images of child pornography on more than one occasion.
While on-scene, investigators saw multiple images of child pornography, confirming their investigation. The computer will now be sent to another lab for a full forensic investigation.
Jason Corey Roberts, 35, is charged with four counts of Possession of Child Pornography. His bond is set at $400,000.
