Sponsors Sought for 8th Annual Jingle Bell Ball
LIBERTY, October 17, 2013 - The Liberty Elks Lodge is seeking sponsors for their 8th Annual Jingle Bell Ball -- benefiting physically and mentally handicapped children, teenagers, adults and their families -- which will be held at the lodge from 5 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, December 14.
Contributions in any amount will assist them in making this a holiday extravaganza for special needs individuals from Liberty County and the surrounding area. Most gifts cost $20 to $25. In addition, drawings are held for special gifts every hour, and these generally cost around $50.
Volunteers are also needed before the event to decorate the Elks Lodge, wrap Christmas gifts, line up school organizations to assist with the party, and otherwise assist with the event. The sponsors of the event would like to register each special needs participant now in order to make sure that Christmas gifts can be purchased for them in advance.
On the night of the party, volunteers are needed to greet guests as they arrive, to work at the photo docking station, to dance with guests, dress up as elves to help pass out the gifts, to serve foods and refreshments at different stations, and to take photographs during the evening. Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus, a large number of elves and Frosty the Snowman will hand out presents to participants.
Donations can be mailed to the Liberty Elks Lodge, PO Box 852, Liberty, TX 77575 or dropped off at Bob Edwards Realty at 102 West Clayton in Dayton. Make checks out to “Jingle Bell Ball.”
