Intoxicated Man Arrested at Convenience Store

LIBERTY, July 2, 2013 - According to Officer Frank Longoria of the City of Liberty Police Department a man walked into the Valero Convenience Store on US 90 at Main Street in Liberty around 10:20 PM on Monday and began asking customers in the store for money.

When the customers refused he directed profanity toward them and the store clerk told the man not to do that.

Officer Longoria intervened in the situation and conducted a field sobriety test.

The man was highly intoxicated. He was identified as Houston resident Ismael Montes-Sanchez age 45.

Montes-Sanchez was placed under arrest for Public Intoxication and transported to the Liberty County Jail.
