“Whispers From The Past….Tales From The Liberty Cemetery”
LIBERTY, October 17, 2013 - The Liberty County Historical Commission will sponsor a cemetery tour/reenactment on Saturday, October 26th and Sunday, October 27th in the historic Liberty City Cemetery, 800 Bowie Street. There will be two tours each day at 4:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Local thespians will appear in period correct attire and assume “spirits” from the past, portraying some of Liberty County’s pioneer families. Whispers From the Past….Tales and Tours in the Liberty City Cemetery will offer a unique look back in time and uncover tales of murder, scandal, romance and dubious beginnings of some of the early pioneer families in this part of Liberty County, Texas. Tortured tales of love and larceny will entertain and hold ticket holders spellbound!
