"Stranger Danger Alert" a Hoax

LIBERTY, October 11, 2013 - This incident first reported by a Sheriff's Department spokesman two days after the alleged event was to have occurred stated, "Due to some circumstances of the call, a follow up was conducted to assure that all the facts were as first described but it does appear this is a confirmed case."

Today however, after two days of very in-depth follow up investigation by several Sheriff Department’s Investigators and intensive interviewing by lead Investigator Sgt. Joel Davila regarding the alleged “Stranger Danger” incident of October 8th, information was developed that events initially reported to responding Deputy Justin Johnston were not as first alleged.

Therefore, this case has been closed by the Sheriff’s Department and no further action will be taken according to Liberty County Sheriff Bobby Rader.
