2013 Liberty County Hay Show
LIBERTY, September 5, 2013 - The Liberty County Hay Show will be held on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 from 6:00 p.m.—8:00 p.m. at the Liberty Church of Christ, 3201 North Main, Liberty, TX.
A Hay Testing Campaign will be held in conjunction with the Hay Show. Participants involved in the Hay Testing Campaign have the option to submit their hay samples to compete in the Liberty County Hay Show. All samples will have a complete analysis run (including % crude protein, % digestible protein, % fiber, estimated TDN, energy, etc.). It is important for you to know if your hay is adequate to meet the needs of your animals or if supplements will be required. Individuals who purchased hay will also be able to submit their hay samples for analysis. Hay samples for this portion of the hay testing campaign will need to tagged as "Hay Purchased". They must complete and attach the identification tag with the sample.
All hay samples must be submitted by Tuesday, September 10 at drop off locations. There is a $5.00 fee for each sample submitted.
Hay samples will be accepted at the following locations
Cannon’s Farm & Ranch Supply in Tarkington
Chachere Feed in Dayton and Liberty
Circle H in Cleveland (formerly Thomas Bros.)
Dayton Farm & Ranch in Dayton
Maci Feed in Hardin
Southeast Texas Farm & Ranch in Raywood
Liberty County Extension Office in Liberty
Make sure that your samples are properly identified with the identification tags available at each location. There will be a $5.00 charge to have your hay tested.
