HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

LIBERTY, February 20, 2013 - TODAY AND TONIGHT SCATTERED SHOWERS EXPECTED TODAY. AN UPPER LEVEL STORM SYSTEM WILL APPROACH THE REGION LATE TONIGHT BRINGING AN INCREASING CHANCE FOR THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS THE REGION.

THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY A STRONG UPPER LEVEL STORM SYSTEM MOVING INTO THE SOUTHERN PLAINS WILL DRIVE A LINE OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS THROUGH SOUTHEAST TEXAS THURSDAY MORNING. STRONG SHEAR VALUES ACROSS THE REGION WILL BE SUPPORTIVE OF INDIVIDUAL ROTATING THUNDERSTORMS AHEAD OF THE MAIN LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS AND THESE WILL LIKELY BE THE MAIN SEVERE WEATHER THREAT. THE STRONGEST THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING DAMAGING WINDS AND ISOLATED TORNADOES. AREAS NORTH AND EAST OF A LINE FROM BRENHAM TO ANAHUAC WILL SEE THE GREATEST THREAT FOR SEVERE WEATHER...ALTHOUGH IT CANNOT BE RULED OUT FOR ANY PORTION OF SOUTHEAST TEXAS.
