HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

LIBERTY, October 29, 2013 - WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY HEAVY RAINFALL LEADING TO FLOODING IS POSSIBLE WEDNESDAY THROUGH THURSDAY. BEST TIMING OF THE HEAVIEST RAIN WILL OCCUR FROM WEDNESDAY NIGHT THROUGH THURSDAY MORNING. THE HEAVY RAIN THREAT WILL MOST LIKELY BE FOCUSED ALONG AND NORTH OF THE INTERSTATE 10 CORRIDOR... ALTHOUGH A MORE WIDESPREAD THREAT FOR FLOODING DUE TO HIGH RAINFALL RATES MAY EXTEND DOWN INTO THE COASTAL COUNTIES. IF A TRAINING NATURE SETS UP... LOCALIZED 1 TO 3 HOUR RAINFALL RATES WILL BE OF LIKELY OCCURRENCE. AREAWIDE EVENT STORM TOTALS WILL RANGE BETWEEN AN AVERAGE 2 TO 3 INCHES...ISOLATED 5 TO 7 INCHES.

THERE IS A SECONDARY THREAT OF DAMAGING WINDS AND A BRIEF TORNADO. LOW LEVEL WINDS WILL BE STRONG ENOUGH FOR STORMS TO POSSIBLY GAIN ROTATION AND PRODUCE A BRIEF TORANDO OR WIND DAMAGE. THIS IS A LOW PROBABILITY OF OCCURRING BUT A SITUATION THAT NEEDS TO BE MONITORED.
