Major Accident FM 1960 Dayton
DAYTON, November 11, 2013 - According to Corporal Carr of the Dayton Police Department a white Dodge dually pickup traveling west on FM 1960 struck a Chrysler 300 sedan near Chachere’s Feed Store on FM 1960 and fled the scene. The pickup then made a U-turn and began traveling eastbound on FM 1960 narrowly missing a pedestrian and struck a pickup driven by Dayton resident Rojelio Puga age 53.
The Dodge dually then struck a guard rail, lost control and rolled over in the roadway.
The Dodge dually was driven by Lacey Jones age 21 of Montgomery, TX who had two dogs as passengers.
Both the dogs were taken to Dr. Hall’s Vet Clinic for evaluation and boarding.
Lacey Jones was transported by Life Flight to Houston for treatment of possible broken bones.
Life Flight landed in the roadway at the accident scene that was just west of the Liberty County Courthouse Annex on FM 1960 in Dayton.
Any citations or charges in this accident are a matter of continuing investigation by the Dayton Police Department.
FM 1960 was closed to traffic for about two hours during the investigation and clean up of this accident.
