Doctor Arrested for Public Intoxication in Liberty
LIBERTY, December 17, 2013 - Shortly after 10:00 PM City of Liberty Police Officers found a Doctor and Anesthesiologist asleep in his vehicle after crashing into a pipe fence across from the car wash on FM 563 that is located behind J J’s Chevron.
Officers pounded on the window of the vehicle to wake the man up eventually got the door open to revive him. They requested that he get out of his vehicle and submit to a field sobriety test. The Doctor claimed he could not because of a medical condition.
According to the Officer investigating the incident the man kept telling him that he was a Doctor.
The Doctor was identified as Timothy Allen of Houston and the Texas Medical Board reports his primary practice address as 2411 Fountainview, Suite 200, Houston, TX.Doctor Allen, according to public records has ties to CR 184 Raywood.
Due to the fact Officers had no witness that saw him driving he was arrested for Public Intoxication and having an open container in his vehicle and was taken into custody being a danger to himself and others.
Found in the Doctor’s vehicle was two large bottles of Seagram VO and a smaller bottle of Smirnoff that was partially full.
Officers told i-dineout.com that a large bottle of Coca Cola was found in the front seat that smelled of an alcoholic beverage.
The vehicle sustained only minor damage to the front bumper caused when the vehicle struck one of the uprights in the pipe fence.
