Chronic Diseases Class
ANAHUAC, March 19, 2013 - The Houston-Galveston Area Council/Area Agency on Aging and the Texas Department of aging and Disability Services are sponsoring a free, “Chronic Diseases” class, brought to you by the Council for Health Education and Development (CFHED).
The date and time for this class is Saturday – 20 April 2013, from 10am – 2pm
This class will address the following; A 4-hour class given by a pathologist focusing on: This presentation allows for discussion and application of learned healthcare guidelines as well as providing an understanding of different chronic diseases (i.e. Parkinson’s, MS, COPD, Heart disease and Arthritis), associated and similar impairments; practice in remedial breathing strategies, balance training and an introduction to Tai Chi.
In addition, 50 attendees in the class will receive a free copy of the book, “Healthminder-Personal Wellness Journal”. The class will be held at: American Legion Hall, 1704 South Main, Anahuac, Texas 77514. Dress comfortably and wear sneakers or rubber-soled shoes. Snacks, juice and water will be provided.
