DAYTON, November 24, 2013 – The following are cases of the Dayton Police Department for the week of November 10,  2013 through November  16, 2013

Man Arrested During Traffic Stop DAYTON, November 10, 2013 - Late on Sunday, November 10, 2013 Officer Leger with the Dayton Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a speeding vehicle on SH 146 near CR 479. The Officer asked the driver Boul Robin White if he had anything in his vehicle he should not have after noticing that he was nervous. White told the officer he did and produced a small bag of synthetic marijuana known as Cush. After receiving consent to search the vehicle Office Leger found three bags of synthetic marijuana totaling 11 grams. White was taken into custody, charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and transported to the Liberty County Jail.

Man has Accident on Methamphetamine High, DAYTON, November 9, 2013 - Officer Hibbits was dispatched to investigate a traffic accident on US 90 near the Dayton Hill near the Stallion facility.

Officer Hibbits noticed a man walking away from the accident. The man stated that he was passing out because he was coming down from a methamphetamine high. The man was identified as Christopher Klint Frazier who was driving a gold, Chevy, Impala that was involve in the accident. Officer Hibbits and Frazier went back to the vehicle. During the accident investigation Officer discovered two bags of methamphetamine and Frazier was read his rights. The total amount of methamphetamine was 2.9 grams. Frazier was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and transported to the Liberty County Jail. The accident occurred at 4:09 AM on November 9, 2013.

Man Fails to Identify, DAYTON, November 9, 2013 – Officer Hart with the Dayton Police Department stopped in at the Spin’N Mart in Dayton were he observed a man who smelled like burnt Marijuana. Confronting the man and asking for his identification the man gave the Officer the name of L. V. Groves. The officer patted the man down and asked him to remove his shoes. Three bags of marijuana were found in his shoes. Once at the police station the man’s true identity was discovered as Tony Lee Groves. The incident occurred at 2:39 AM on November 9, 2013. Groves was charged with Possession of Marijuana and transported to the Liberty County Jail.
