East Montgomery County Constable and Houston PD Bust 3 Drug Dealers
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, October 16, 2013 - A joint effort between the Montgomery County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office and the Houston Police Department led to three arrests in East Montgomery County Monday afternoon.
The trio, comprised of one man and two women, was attempting to sell 9 ounces of methamphetamine. They were traveling in two vehicles, with the contraband divided between them and had arranged to conduct the transaction at a Mexican restaurant on the US 59 feeder road between Northpark and FM 1314.
Armandina Reyna was driving a gold Tahoe, with Larry Rawson, Jr. as her passenger. Both are convicted felons. When officers converged on the vehicle, they found Rawson was sitting on top of a loaded .38 Special handgun and a loaded 9mm semi-automatic was found beside Reyna, between her seat and the center console. They were transporting 5 ounces of methamphetamine.
Rhonda Gammons arrived at the location driving a purple Chevy Impala. She arranged the transaction and had four ounces of methamphetamine in her possession.
Reyna, Rawson and Gammons were arrested and transported to the Precinct 4 Constable’s Office in New Caney for booking, where Reyna and Gammons admitted being in possession of additional contraband. Reyna had a small clear plastic bag containing cocaine stashed in her bra and Gammons had a small clear plastic bag containing methamphetamine in her bra.
Pct. 4 Constable Kenneth “Rowdy” Hayden said the arrests should serve as a warning to drug dealers.
“These three suspects from Harris County brought illegal drugs into Montgomery County and now they’re in our jail,” Constable Hayden said. “Drug dealers who think they have it all figured out and want to profit from the destruction of lives, families and communities need to pay attention to this story, because this is where their journey ends – behind bars.”
“I’m very pleased with the outcome of our cooperative effort with the Houston Police Department,” he said. “This is an excellent example of what can be accomplished when agencies work together.”
