Comcast Cable Cut
LIBERTY, December 13, 2013 - On December 6, 2013 Liberty Police Department received a call from Comcast in reference to criminal mischief that occurred on HWY 90 at Texaco Road. Comcast found that the fiber optic line was cut causing an outage of cable, phone and internet service to the Liberty Area. The damage was estimated at approximately $3,000.00.
While the investigation is still ongoing two arrest have been made for the criminal mischief that was done on December 6, 2013. Arrested are Benjamin Michel Alexander age 38 from Liberty and Bobby Lynn Nettles age 33 from Crosby.
Both were arrested on December 12, 2013 after probable cause affidavits were presented to Justice of the Peace Stephen Hebert and arrest warrants were issued. Both Benjamin Alexander and Bobby Nettles are currently in Liberty County Jail for criminal mischief a State Jail Felony.
The Liberty Police Department investigators are currently working with Comcast and Harris County Sheriff’s Department on cases with similar circumstances.
