Accident on Grand Street in Liberty
LIBERTY, February 16, 2013 - Around 2:00 PM today a Liberty IDS Maintenance Truck was struck in the rear on Grand Street by a woman in a Chevy sedan.
The maintenance truck was traveling westbound on Grand Street and was attempting a left turn onto Austin Street by the Administration Building when the Chevy sedan behind the maintenance truck failed to control speed colliding with the rear of the truck.
The driver of the maintenance truck was Jerry Dagle age 40 of Liberty and the driver of the Chevy Sedan was Amanda Willard age 21 of Liberty.
According to Officer Chance Maddox who investigated the accident for the Liberty Police Department Willard was distracted while driving when dog jumped in the seat of her vehicle.
Willard received a citation for Failed to Control Speed and both vehicles were insured.
