Judge Tommy Chambers Announces His Candidacy for Re-election to the Liberty County Court at Law

LIBERTY, December 3, 2013 - Judge Thomas A. “Tommy” Chambers is officially announcing his bid for re-election as Judge of the Liberty County Court at Law.  He has served as the judge of this Court since January of 2011.  During his tenure, Judge Chambers has presided over thousands of cases, including criminal, probate, tax, condemnation and family law cases.

The Liberty County Court at Law is one of the busiest trial courts in the State of Texas. While in office, Judge Chambers has worked hard to improve the efficiency of this Court.  He has focused on streamlining the processing of misdemeanor criminal cases while providing a fair and appropriate disposition of each case.  He has ensured timely hearings for both criminal and civil matters, refined jury proceedings, standardized self-representation cases and helped reduce jail over-crowding without jeopardizing public safety.  Judge Chambers hopes the voters will continue to entrust the Liberty County Court at Law to his care and leadership.

Judge Tommy Chambers is married to Lee Haidusek Chambers, who is also an attorney.  He has a son serving in the U.S. Army, a son studying civil engineering at Lamar University and a married daughter.
