Child Dies in Hardin Accident
HARDIN, October 15, 2013 - An auto accident that took the life of a 4 year old boy occurred around 8:53 PM on Tuesday evening on SH 146 at CR 2003 N in Hardin, TX.
According to reports, a 2008 Chevy Four Door was traveling southbound on SH 146 and was stopped waiting to make a turn onto CR 2003N, when it was struck by a southbound 2006 Ford F-250 Truck.
The driver of the Chevy was Teresa Elizabeth Mainor of Liberty, TX who was transported to Liberty Dayton Regional Hospital with a laceration on her left arm. Mainor was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
Braiden Anthony Mainor age 4 of CR 2352 in Liberty was transported to Liberty Dayton Regional Medical Center suffering serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital by Dr. Abreha.
The driver of the Ford F-250 was Billy Shane Jordan of Cleveland, TX. His passenger was Rebecca Ann Attaway age 20 of Batson, TX who was transported to Liberty Dayton Regional Medical Center in stable condition with a broken ankle. Attaway was not wearing a seat belt. Jordan was not injured in the accident.
