Lower Trinity Valley Bird Garden September Meeting

LIBERTY, September 5, 2013 - The September meeting of the LOWER TRINITY VALLEY BIRD CLUB will be held on, Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at The FLNB Corner (1822 Sam Houston Av, Liberty, TX) across for the First Liberty National Bank. Directions: from Hwy. 90, turn north on Travis St. (between Kentucky Fried Chicken and Whataburger), cross over the railroad tracks- The FLNB Corner is at the intersection of Sam Houston Av. and Travis St. Be sure to come early at 9:30 a.m. for our “Birder’s Chat” time. Our speaker for September will be Paul Gregg; his presentation will be Birds and Birding (from the back yard to places away from home).

Paul is an avid, advanced amateur photographer. For 3 years, he has given photography presentations at Lone Star College in New Caney (this fall to the Atascocita location) to students in the Academy for Lifelong Learning (ALL). He will present CEU hours in Beginning Digital Photography and Adobe Lightroom at LSC in Kingwood this fall and spring. He has written articles and submitted photographs for various local publications as well as the quarterly Air Force Reserve Chaplain’s Newsletter. He holds membership in the North American Nature Photographers Association, Air Force Association, Air Force Sergeant’s Association and the American Legion and VFW.

Paul has photographed many different subjects, but his main love is nature and travel photography. His birding presentation shows many different birds, from some of the smallest to one of the largest. His e-mail list has over 200 recipients who receive infrequent e-mails with selected photos and short narrative he shares.
