Two Arrested Sunday Night for Shoplifting
LIBERTY, April 22, 2013 - Personnel at Wal-Mart notified the Liberty Police Department that one male and one female customer who they were trying to detain as suspected shoplifters were running across the parking lot from the store. The male was running with a baby in his arms and the woman was running with two other children and following.
They were observed placing consumer electronic items in bags and attempting to leave the store.
As they fled the store in their vehicle police were able to locate them on Beaumont Ave. near Minglewood and stop the vehicle around 10:00 PM Sunday night.
Arrested and taken into custody for organized retail theft were Kisha Leftrick and her brother, John Christopher Leftrick age 33.
According to Officer Frank Longoria of the City of Liberty Police Department the department was attempting to locate the father of the children in Seabrook to take custody of the children and if unable to be reached they would be handed over to the custody of CPS.
At 3:34 AM Monday morning Troy Beasley, soon to take office as a board member on the Liberty County Hospital District Board having signed up to run without being opposed informed i-dineout.com in an e-mail that Kisha Leftrick is his former wife and mother of his child. Beasley currently serves on the Hospital District Board by appoinment of the board to finish out the remainder of a vacancy on the board.
