Woman Arrested for Possession During Traffic Stop

DAYTON, January 7, 2014 - On Friday, December 27, 2013 at 1:28 AM, Officer Hart made a traffic stop on Brown Road near the Kimmie Brown School on a Chevy with a tail light that was out.

The driver of the vehicle was Adaryall Jackson age 29 of Dayton and his passenger was Kelly Badeaux age 23.

Officer Hart while speaking to Jackson asked if there was contraband or weapons in the vehicle and Jackson replied, “No.”

Permission to search the vehicle was obtained and found in the vehicle on the passenger side was a baggy with a powdery substance thought to be methamphetamine.

While talking with Badeaux she was observed to drop a pipe commonly used in smoking methamphetamine.

Kelly Badeaux was taken into custody, charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and transported to the Liberty County Jail.

Badeaux has an arrest record in Liberty County going back five years to 2009.
