Two Arrested on Sunday Morning

LIBERTY, August 10, 2013 - After a night out on the town on a Saturday night many people gather at the Whataburger early Sunday morning.

Such was the case on Sunday, August 4, 2013 when City of Liberty Police Officers responded to the Whataburger for an Harassment call.

Upon arrival at the Whataburger, according to Detective Jennifer Bowles, two suspects set off in a white Mercury.

The Officers proceeded after them and the vehicle came to a stop on MLK at Bowie Street in Liberty. Officer then detained both of the occupants of the vehicle.

The passenger in the vehicle identified as Larry Jackson age 19 of Liberty was discovered to be in possession of Marijuana and arrested.

The driver of the vehicle identified as James Hill age 28 was placed under arrest for Evading Arrest or Detention in a Motor Vehicle. Hill has an extensive criminal history going back to October of 2004 almost ten years ago.

Both Hill and Jackson were transported to the Liberty County Jail.
