Woman Arrested at Wal-Mart Late on Friday

LIBERTY, October 2, 2013 - The City of Liberty Police Department was summoned to the Liberty Wal-Mart on Friday, September 27, 2013 at 10:27 PM to investigate a theft from the store.

Store employees claimed that Deanna Arnold age 29 of Batson had set off the alarm walking out of the store and when confronted admitted to taking property consisting of clothes, purses and caps in the amount of $114.00.

After being taken into custody and transported to the Liberty County Jail it was discovered that she had a pill in her bra identified as Clonazepam a Schedule IV drug.

Clonazepam is a benzodiazepine drug having anxiolytic, anticonvulsant, muscle relaxant, sedative, and hypnotic properties.

Arnold was charged with Organized Retail Theft and being in Possession of a Prohibited Substance in a Correctional Facility.
