Combative Suspect Arrested
LIBERTY, January 24, 2013 - The Liberty Police were called to the CVS Pharmacy around 9:00 PM on Wednesday where a man was removing labels from products inside the store causing a lot of Criminal Mischief Damage.
The man was identified as Anthony Walker age 31 of Liberty who was familiar to police.
Police arrived on the scene and escorted the man outside the store where he became combative and faked having a seizure where upon responding officers called for an ambulance to transport the man to Liberty Dayton Regional Hospital in Liberty for diagnosis.
Liberty Police were already aware of the man and secured a warrant for Class B Theft charging the man with theft from the local Radio Shack Store that occurred in a previous incident.
The man continued his combative behavior refusing to walk inside the hospital, attempting to bite and kick the officers escorting him.
During the course of these events he kept trying to strike his head on the floor of the hospital and the patrol vehicles in an attempt to injure himself.
Once cleared of any medical condition, it took about five officers from the City of Liberty PD and the Liberty County Sheriff’s Department to place him in the patrol vehicle and transport him to jail.
Other charges are pending against Anthony Walker age 31 of Liberty with the City of Liberty Police Department
