Three Vehicle Collide on US 90

LIBERTY, March 22, 2013 - Around 9:00 AM on Friday a three-vehicle accident occurred on US 90 near Carter Street that sent the driver of a silver Malibu to Liberty Dayton Regional Medical Center by City of Liberty Ambulance.

Officer Leo Cardenas of the City of Liberty Police Department investigated the accident.

According to Officer Cardenas eastbound traffic on US 90 had slowed for an oversized load in the roadway when the a Silver F-250 driven by Mark Steven Andress age 53 failed to control speed and crashed into the rear of a Silver Malibu driven by Maribel Laredo age 31 of Houston. The force of the impact pushed the Malibu into a Chrysler Mini-Van driven by Debra Vanfossen age 31.

Maribel Laredo was transported by City of Liberty Ambulance that responded to the scene to Liberty Dayton Regional Medical Center for treatment.

According to Officer Cardenas Mark Steven Andress received a citation for Failure to Control Speed and all vehicles were insured.
