Vehicles Collide on US 90 near Whataburger

LIBERTY, March 10, 2013 - Shortly after noon on Sunday a two-vehicle accident occurred at the intersection of Travis Street and US 90.

According to Officer Jennifer Bowles of the City of Liberty Police Department a silver sedan attempted to cross US 90 from the Taco Bell and collided with a dark blue sedan traveling west on US 90.

The accident resulted in sever damage to both vehicle and damage to a stop sign.

Westbound lanes of US 90 were partially closed during the investigation and clean up the accident.

The City of Liberty Fire Department was dispatched to scene to wash down fluid spills from the vehicles.

The driver of the blue sedan was Bobby Wood age 48 of Dayton and the driver of the silver sedan was Candice Romhill age 26 of Dayton.

City of Liberty EMS arrived on the scene to check minor injuries sustain by one the occupants of the vehicles involved.

According to Officer Bowles, Candice Romhill received a citation for Failure to Yield Right of Way from Private Drive and Bobby Wood received a citation for expired registration.

Both vehicles were insured.
