Woman Arrested at Valero

LIBERTY, September 1, 2012 - Early Saturday evening a woman notified police that a man in a white pickup had pulled a gun on her during a disturbance in the South Liberty Oil Field.

Officer Kyle Cornelius located the pickup at the Valero and with assistance detained the man. It was later found that the woman’s claim was unfounded and the man had broken no law. The man was released by authorities leaving police to deal with the woman.

According to Officer Cornelius to get her out of the situation she was in, Officers gave her a voucher to stay at a local motel for the evening and let her go.

The woman was identified as Heather Collins Pierce age 34 from out of state but currently residing in the South Liberty Oil Field.

Near 11:00 PM the woman was spotted back at the Valero, walking behind the store in the dark.

Officer Cornelius responded to find the woman and administered a standard field sobriety test.

According to Officer Cornelius the woman had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and was taken into custody on charges of Public Intoxication and transported to the Liberty County Jail.
