Refuge Seeks Public Input on Conservation Planning Effort
LIBERTY, March 28, 2012 - The Trinity River National Wildlife Refuge (Refuge) is seeking public comment on a draft Comprehensive Conservation Plan (CCP) and Environmental Assessment (EA). The final plan will guide management decisions and set forth goals, objectives and strategies needed to accomplish refuge purposes and establish the Service’s best estimate of future needs for the next 15 years.
Documents are available for review at the following locations: Liberty Municipal Library in Liberty, TX, the Dayton Library in Dayton, TX, the Austin Memorial Library and the Tarkington Community Library in Cleveland, TX. A public open house meeting will be held April 10, 2012 from 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the Trinity River National Wildlife Refuge Headquarters, 601 FM 1011, Liberty, TX.
