2012 Miss Rodeo Trinity Valley Exposition The competition is open to residents of Liberty, Chambers, Harris, Polk, Montgomery, San Jacinto, Hardin, and Jefferson counties and applicants will be required to submit proof of residency. A High School report card with name and address of school will be sufficient for students and those beyond high school may submit a utility bill, tax statement, etc. Contestants of high school age must be enrolled in a Texas approved school. Each contestant must submit a competition fee of $75 in the form of a cashier’s check or money order made payable to the Trinity Valley Exposition. Candidates who compete for the coveted title of Miss Rodeo TVE must display exceptional horsemanship abilities, public speaking skills, as well as equine and current rodeo event knowledge. The winning TVE Queen will receive a tiara, buckle, sash, and Queen’s saddle. Various other prizes will be awarded besides the Queen’s title. The 2012 Miss Rodeo TVE will have the option to represent TVE at the Miss Rodeo Texas 2013 pageant in June 2013. A photographer will be present at the orientation to take headshots for the newspaper and the same picture will be used for photogenic deliberations; no outside photos will be accepted for the competition. All contestants must arrive camera ready in acceptable western attire. Immediately following orientation the arena will be made available to all contestants who desire to practice the reining pattern. This will be the only practice time allowed in the TVE arena before the competition.
