Sheriff Bobby Rader Sworn in as Liberty County Sheriff
LIBERTY, January 1, 2013 – Friends, Family and LCSO Staff gathered at the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office at midnight on New Year’s Eve to witness Sheriff Bobby Rader take and oath of office to become Liberty County Sheriff.
Sheriff Rader was elected in the Republican Primary with overwhelming support over his challenger, incumbent Henry Patterson and did not face a run off for his place on the November ballot where he was unopposed.
Sheriff Rader was administered the oath by Justice of the Peace Ronnie Davis and in turn, Sheriff Rader then administered the oath of office to members of his staff who were on duty and present at the Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff Rader administered the oath of office first to his Captains representing his command staff including Crystal Thomas, Mark Ellington and Don Neyland. Also, the oath was administered to Ken DeFoor who will be supervising reserve deputies.
Lastly, Sheriff Rader administered the oath to Deputies, Sgt, Corporals and other members of the LCSO staff who were present and needed to be sworn in.
