Major Accident on SH 321
DAYTON, May 21, 2012 - Early Sunday morning a two-vehicle accident occurred at FM 686 and SH 321 north of Dayton.
According to Officer Taylor Wells of the Dayton Police Department a silver sedan traveling east on FM 686 failed to stop at the stop sign at SH 321 and drove into the northbound lane of SH 321 where it was struck by a small, white pickup.
The driver of the silver sedan was Sheriadon Punch age 21. Both the driver and the passengers in the vehicle were wearing seat belts and did not sustain injuries requiring transport to the hospital.
The driver of the white pickup was Mike Russell. Russell’s wife, a passenger in the truck suffered a shoulder injury and lacerations and was transported to an area hospital by Liberty County EMS.
According to Officer Wells both vehicles were insured and Punch will receive a citations for Failed to Control Speed and Disregarding a Stop Sign.
